Servant of the Lake Roach Puzzle

The roach puzzle is a Day 1 garden task, next to the pile of stones and boards. Your goal: move all six cockroaches into the black hole at the top of the board.

How It Works

You cannot control the cockroaches directly. Instead, place a stone on a tile next to one: the roach moves one square in the opposite direction (stone on the left → roach moves right; stone below → roach moves up).

• Do not trap a roach against a big rock, a wall or another roach.
• If one gets stuck in an unreachable spot, use the reset button and start over.
• The roach in the far right corner is the trickiest — work it in from below and the right.

Step-by-Step Order

1. Place the stone two cells above its starting position, then lower it one cell.
2. Upper-left roach: stone to its left, then below it twice to drive it into the hole.
3. Lower-left roach: stone below twice, then to its left, then below twice more until it enters.
4. Next roach on the left: stone on its left, below twice, left again, below twice more.
5. Upper-right roach: stone on its right.
6. Lower-right roach: stone below twice, right twice, then keep moving the stone from below until it goes in.
7. Next roach: stone on its right, below twice, then keep placing the stone on its right until it lines up with the hole, and push it upward.
8. Last roach: stone under it, right twice, then move from below until it falls in.

Reward

With all six roaches in the hole, the nest reveals the third stone tablet for the stone coin / tablet box puzzle.
