Servant of the Lake Coffee

Two drink-related tasks confuse players: making coffee on Day 2 (Preparing Coffee) and the matcha latte moment during Day 1’s tea serving. Both are covered here.

Day 2: Preparing Coffee

1. Derive the coffee box code from the house painting and the portraits.

3. Open the box, grind the beans and brew the coffee for Aldous.
4. Tickle William’s toes following the twitch pattern, and set the grandfather clock to 9:00.
5. Grow the plant with William’s drool and rainwater to get birdseed; feed the bird for an egg.

Hidden Achievement: Serving Mr. Aldous his Favorite Coffee

The trick is in the roasting: roast the coffee beans on top of the stove, beside the teapot — not directly in the flames. Roasting them wrong costs you the hidden achievement for the chapter. Missed it? Replay Preparing Coffee from the Notebook after finishing the game.

Serving Matcha Latte (Day 1 Tea Task)

The matcha latte achievement belongs to Day 1’s Serving Tea task, not Day 2:

1. Before preparing Alexandra’s tea, feed the tea leaves to the cat.
2. Click the cat’s throat to make it cough up a sticky green substance.
3. Collect the sticky substance from the crate.
4. Make Alexandra’s tea normally — she drops the cup.
5. Glue the cup back together with the sticky substance and serve the tea again to unlock Serving Matcha Latte.
