Servant of the Lake Flower Puzzle

The flower puzzle appears on Day 1 in the garden, during the Welcoming the Guests task. Go through the door behind the maid and check the flower pot on the left.

How the Puzzle Works

It is a number-pyramid puzzle disguised with flowers. In a normal pyramid, two adjacent numbers add up to the number above them — here, two adjacent flowers combine into the flower above them. A budless stem with leaves plus a white flower with no leaves produces a white flower with leaves. Blooms keep the stems, buds and leaves of the rows below, so flowers get more complex towards the top.

Tip: solve top-down. Decide what the most developed top flower must be, then work out which simpler flowers combine to make each flower below it.

Solution (Rows From Top to Bottom)

Row 1 (apex):  White flower with red centre + both sets of leaves
Row 2:        Red bud with both leaves  |  White flower with both leaves
Row 3:        Red bud, lower leaves  |  Leaves only (no flower)  |  White flower, upper leaves
Row 4 (base): Plain red bud  |  Stem with lower leaves  |  Stem with upper leaves  |  Plain white flower

In short: white flowers sit left, red flowers right, leaf count grows as you go up, and the plain green stems occupy the centre.

Rewards

• A bouquet of flowers (needed to welcome Alexandra)
• A stone tablet appears in the pot — one of the three needed for the stone coin / tablet box puzzle

Hidden Achievement: Ruining the Bouquet

Before giving the bouquet to Alexandra, feed it to the goat — but only before milking the goat (milking makes the goat leave). Alexandra will later comment that the bouquet smells of goat, unlocking the achievement. Missed it? Replay the chapter from the Notebook after finishing the game.
